2025 Environmental Grants now open

Published on Monday, 17 February 2025 at 9:39:11 AM

Innovative community groups and local schools looking for financial support to get their environmental projects off the ground can now apply for a City of Vincent grant.

The grant program, which has been a cornerstone of Vincent’s commitment to environmental responsibility, provides funding to projects that contribute to ecological preservation, climate action, and sustainable community initiatives.

Applications are now open for 2025, with funding opportunities available for innovative projects that demonstrate a positive impact on the environment.

Eligible projects may include but are not limited to:

  • renewable energy initiatives
  • conservation and habitat restoration projects
  • waste reduction and recycling programs
  • environmental education and awareness campaigns

Past recipients of the environmental grant include community groups and local schools working to implement sustainable projects such as native gardens, bush tucker and edible gardens, and energy reduction initiatives.

Thanks to a $2000 environmental grant, the Leederville Toy Library utilised grant funding to expand its collection with sustainable, eco-friendly educational toys for young children. The library was able to purchase toy kits made from FSC-certified wood, soy-based ink, and Oeko-Tex-certified fabrics, ensuring durability while minimising environmental impact.

We encourage schools, community groups, and organisations to take advantage of this opportunity and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Applications will be open between Monday 17 February until Monday 7 April 2025.
