Beatty Park 2062

Project

Since building Beatty Park for swimming and aquatic sports for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, it has become an icon in the Western Australian community as one of the most popular and identifiable aquatic facilities in the State. Nearly 1 million people visit the State heritage listed centre each year.

Now, Beatty Park is in considerable need of additional investment to preserve and improve the State heritage listed grandstand for future generations.

Our new Asset Management and Sustainability Strategy is also looking at what else we can do as an organisation to improve asset management generally so that these issues don't arise again.

Why we need help

We are seeking a funding contribution and potential partnerships to carry out essential structural works to retain the grandstand and make it safe for public use and enjoyment. These works will ensure the future of the iconic heritage listed 1962 grandstand.
