Footyville - WAFL Grand final FEVER is coming to leederville
The City will host the 2022 WAFL Grand Final, in partnership with the West Australian Football Commission, at Leederville Oval on 1 October.
To celebrate, the Leederville Town Centre will come alive as it is transformed into Footyville for a festival of WAFL.
From 11.30am there will be free kids activities and roving entertainment. Local businesses will be joining in the festivities with a range of food and drinks options, plus shopping opportunities for fans and visitors.

ROAD CLOSURES
Roads will be closed from 6am - midnight on Saturday 1 October.
Oxford Street will be closed between Vincent Street and Leederville Parade, including the Leederville Village Square.
Carr Place will remain open.
Vincent Street will be reduced to one lane for cars moving westbound. This will allow safe pedestrian movement from the train station to Leederville Oval.
There will be no left turn off the freeway - cars will need to travel straight up Leederville Parade.
Getting to Footyville
We encourage everyone coming to Footyville to travel smart.
The train is conveniently located in the Leederville Town Centre, or opt to ride your bike or walk.
Ride shares are encouraged to drop off at Newcastle Street for Footyville, and Richmond Street for the WAFL Grand Final.
Parking will be limited around Leederville, the Avenue and Frame Court Carparks.

- Richmond Street Leederville, opposite Fleet Street
- 10 Bays inside the Loftus Carpark
- Designated ACROD Bays in Frame Court Carpark
- Designated ACROD Bays in The Avenue Carpark
Parking is very limited and we encourage you to use public transport or ride share to not be disappointed.
