ANZAC Day March and Service

The City of Vincent, in partnership with Returned Services League of Western Australia Mount Hawthorn Sub-Branch invites you to the 2025 Anzac Day March and Service.

The March will step off at 10.50am on the corner of Flinders and Scarborough Beach Road, and continue down Scarborough Beach Road to Axford Park, on the corner of Oxford Street. The March is an opportunity to recognise and support our service men and women. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in the March prior to the service.

The Service will commence at 11.00am at Axford Park, Mt Hawthorn.

Everyone is welcome to stay after the Service concludes for the Mt Hawthorn RSL Sausage Sizzle, with your gold coin donation helping the RSL Veterans and their families.

Thank you to all past and present members of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces and their families and friends, staff and volunteer of organisations who give their time to support our veterans.

PARKING AND ROAD CLOSURES 

Parking will be limited around Axford Park, and attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle or ride to the event. Minimal parking will be available on surrounding streets. 

There will be a road closure on Scarborough Beach Road between Endinboro and Flinders Street, and Oxford Street between Scarborough Beach Road and ANZAC Rd. The closure will commence at 9am and reopen 12pm. 

The image used in this years artwork is from the City's Library and Local History Centre. It shows Thomas Cockburn and Jack Crews, residents of Coogee Street, Mt Hawthorn in Amry uniform year 1940. Thomas lived with his sister Anne at 118 Coogee Street and Jack Crews lived with his parents Cecil and Ethel Crews at 117 Coogee Street (later 147 Coogee Street).
