The City of Vincent is seeking feedback on its Smoke-Free Town Centres initiative.

In November 2022, Vincent introduced Fresh Air - You're Welcome: the Smoke-Free Town Centres project as part of the Public Health Plan.

This project, supported by a Healthy Communities grant from Healthway, aims to:

• Reduce community exposure to environmental tobacco smoke and aerosol from e-cigarettes.
• Create healthy environments, free from smoking and vaping, in our entertainment precincts.

Since then, Vincent has run multiple awareness campaigns and engaged with local business to support the transition.

Educational messages on vaping were delivered to local primary schools and to local youth service providers.

Feedback is now invited on how effective this initiative has been. The consultation will determine what impact the initiative had, how aware are people and if they are broadly supportive.
