We are upgrading a section of McCarthy Street in Highgate as part of the 2024/25 Capital Works Program. The area will be between Lincoln Street and the end of McCarthy Street.

Weather permitting, road resurfacing will happen between Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 February 2025, from 7am.

Parking on McCarthy Street will be restricted during the works. Signage will be in place and traffic management on site to direct drivers.

Road closure

To keep the work running smoothly, we’ll need to close the road in the work zone. During this time, access to properties will be limited, but the traffic team will help residents get in and out as needed. Full access will be restored at the end of each work shift.
