The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has confirmed an infestation of Polyphagous shot-hole borer (PSHB) in several plants at Beatty Park.

DPIRD will start treatment on Thursday 12 December 2024. Seven Wedding Bush (Ricinocarpos pinifolius) plants will be removed and one Poinciana (Delonix regia) will be pruned. Surveillance of two Moreton Bay figs (Ficus macrophylla) will also take place. All work will be carried out by certified arborists.

The treatment is necessary to control the spread of this invasive pest, ensure public safety and protect surrounding plants.

Please keep clear of work zones while treatment is underway.
