We’re building a new playground especially for little ones at Braithwaite Park. Designed with input from local families, the playground will be more accessible and support both imaginative and active play.

The new playground will replace the aging structure at the Berryman Street side of the park. Community members asked for a play cafe, a bike track on softfall and a cubby house, and all of these elements are included in the new playground design. 

Braithwaite Park is a popular spot for families with children of all ages. The toddler playground is one of two playgrounds at Braithwaite Park, with the nature play space suited to older children upgraded by the City last year. The new toddler playground will complete the space.

Construction works are expected to commence on 20 May 2024 and be completed by mid-June, weather permitting. Works will take place on weekdays between 7am and 5pm.
