Mt Hawthorn Skate Space

Construction of a new youth skate space at Britannia Reserve is now complete.

The 350-square metre small-scale facility will cater for young skaters and be built on the northwest corner of the reserve, just north of the basketball ring and adjacent to the new multi-sports changeroom facility currently under construction.

Designed in consultation with local families and members of the skating community, Mt Hawthorn Youth Skate Space is be perfect for kids, young people and inexperienced skaters.

Features

Mt Hawthorn Skate Space is designed for entry level skaters to develop and hone their skills. Its range of street and transition elements include:

  • quarter pipes
  • banks
  • rails
  • ledges
  • tabletop and a mini ramp

Funding

More than half of the funding for this facility will be provided by the Department of Communities as part of an election commitment from Hon. John Carey MLA, State Member for Perth.
