The Poppy Project - Poppy Making Workshop

 

Poppies are the official symbol of remembrance for those lost in War.

A craft poppy making workshop will take place at the Vincent Community Centre on Tuesday 8 October, where materials will be available for community groups and members.

The poppies will then be displayed at the front of the Administration Building from Friday 8th to Monday 11th of November 2024.

Light morning tea will be provided.

This invitation extends to community groups, local businesses, sporting clubs, local schools, and individuals.

If you are unable to attend the workshop but would like to contribute to the commemorative art installation, please contact the Community Development team.

EOI for Poppy Making Kits

The City will provide poppy templates to community groups, sporting clubs, and local schools to contribute towards the commemorative art installation. Hand-made poppies will then be collected and installed at Keith Frame Reserve from Friday 7th to Friday1 4th November 2025.

Please note, expressions of interest are required.  Further information will be provided upon review of your application.
