Write A Soldier’s Biography
Join us at City of Vincent Library for an inspiring event where you can help preserve the legacy of the 44th Battalion by writing meaningful and engaging biographies of its soldiers. Raised in Claremont in 1916, this Battalion was composed almost entirely of Western Australians. Over 2,100 soldiers served with the unit in 15 battles, with 437 men making the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their rich history is at risk of fading away, and we need your help to keep their stories alive.
Your participation in this event will play a vital role in preserving the legacy of the 44th Battalion and honouring the brave men who served with it. This event is open to everyone, regardless of skill level. Whether you come alone or with family, you can make a meaningful contribution.
Tea and biscuits will be provided.
