The City of Vincent E-Waste Drop-Off Day will offer residents the opportunity recycle electrical and battery operated items.
Electronic waste, or e-waste, cannot go in any kerbside bins. This includes items such as TVs, computers and mobile phones.
E-waste is on average 95 per cent recyclable by weight, but it can also contain harmful and toxic chemicals so requires specialist recycling.
Our last event was a great success, with over 11 tonnes of e-waste collected! Good Sammy also recovered approximately 200 high quality electrical items which were processed for resale in their stores.
Join us on Saturday 3 February between 7:00 and 10:30am at Britannia Reserve Carpark in Leederville for this free drive-through collection service.
Vincent is partnering again with Good Sammy and Total Green Recycling to reuse and recycle, ensuring we keep e-waste out of landfill.
Good Sammy will be on site to accept donations of electrical or battery powered items in good working condition.
E-waste items will be disassembled by Total Green Recycling at their facility in Kewdale, so the metals and materials can be recovered for further recycling.
NEW! We will also be offering a free collection service for polystyrene and cardboard packaging.
Cardboard should be flattened with any plastic tape removed.
Polystyrene blocks or beads are accepted. Beads must be double bagged in large plastic garbage bags to be accepted.
