Sullivan Logistics Stadium

Sullivan Logistics Stadium (formerly Leederville Oval) will become the key alternative venue to Optus Stadium with a major redevelopment in the works.

Turf and lighting will be upgraded to AFL and AFLW competition standards for the stadium to reach its potential as a state-level venue.

The City secured a $3.8 million grant from the State Government along with contributions from the WA Football Commission, AFL, East Perth and Subiaco football clubs.

About the stadium

Sullivan Logistics Stadium is the City of Vincent’s premier football ground and is home to the East Perth and Subiaco Football Clubs.

The 2022 WAFL Grand Final was successfully held at the stadium, along with the supporting Footyville festival, which attracted event-goers to the town centre. Located on Vincent Street in the heart of Leederville, events at Sullivan Logistics Stadium bring vibrancy to the area and benefit the local economy.

A state-level venue in Vincent

The City has long been committed to the dream of a tier-two AFL venue in Vincent.

The redevelopment of Sullivan Logistics Stadium means marquee matches for not only WAFL and WAFLW but also AFLW and AFL can be held here.

Local football players will be able to play and train on a vastly improved and more durable surface during the evening. Thanks to the upgraded lights, the oval can be open for community use at night outside of club and event times.

Businesses in the town centre will benefit from more people attending major evening games.

Project milestones

The stadium is expected to be closed for redevelopment between late October 2024 and February 2025. Stage one will see the turf replaced, and stage two will be the upgrade of lighting to broadcast standard.

The goal is to have the stadium ready for the 2025 AFLW season in March.

The City of Vincent will continue to work with the Department, WA Football Commission, East Perth, and Subiaco on the delivery of this landmark project.
