Safe TRADING SITE

The City of Vincent has established a Safe Trading Site to support safer in‑person meet‑ups for community members buying and selling goods through online platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree and Depop.

The location at 62 Frame Court, Leederville provides a safer and more convenient alternative to meeting at private homes or unfamiliar locations.

The site features:

  • A well-lit area
  • Clear signage (coming soon)
  • 24/7 CCTV surveillance
  • Public parking nearby
  • Convenient access to public transport

Residents can also take advantage of the City of Stirling’s Safer Exchange Site at 679 Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley.

The initiative responds to the rapid growth of online second‑hand marketplaces and local buy‑nothing communities, which has increased demand for secure, neutral meeting points.
