The City of Vincent’s Smoke-Free Town Centres project has gained overwhelming community support and positive impact on the ground as part of a one-year review.

From 1 July 2023, the City of Vincent will enforce the smoke-free town centres to improve the wellbeing of its residents and visitors.

From 22 November, parts of North Perth, Mt Hawthorn, Leederville, William Street and Beaufort Street will be smoke-free.

Council approved five smoke free areas at its 26 July Ordinary Council Meeting.

The City of Vincent proposes to introduce smoke free areas in Leederville, Mount Hawthorn, North Perth, Beaufort Street and William Street under the Local Government Property Local Law 2021.
